Metsä Wood and Sisco cooperate on module production

The Metsä Wood division of the Finnish Metsä Group and the Finnish prefabricated-house company Sisco recently agreed to cooperate in the production of modules based on Kerto-LVL for the building of framed-construction prefabricated houses. According to Timo Riikonen, Metsä Wood’s Corporate Controlling director, the concern will supply Sisco with Kerto-LVL. Further processing to building components, assembly to finished houses and worldwide sales will be handled exclusively by Sisco.

Against the backdrop of probable growth in the prefabricated-house market, Metsä Wood intends to enter into cooperative ventures, such as that with Sisco, with other prefabricated-housing companies.
