If you missed the opportunity to hear from Mark Farmer speak at Explore Offsite Futures in November, then good news, Mark Farmer will be returning to the Explore Offsite series and will be speaking at Explore Offsite Housing on the 05 April at the Inmarsat, London.
Mark was most recently commissioned by the Construction Leadership Council, at the request of government, to undertake a review of the UK’s construction labour model. The report under the banner of 'The Farmer Review of the UK Construction Labour Model' and subtitled 'Modernise or Die'- has now been delivered and has focused a great deal of media attention towards the construction industry's dysfunctional training model, its lack of innovation and collaboration as well as its non-existent research and development (R&D) culture.
Since the ‘Modernise or Die’ report was unveiled, the Government have further highlighted their support for the offsite industry through the Housing White Paper which was released earlier this month. The Housing White Paper sets out the government’s intentions to resolve the housing crisis through a series of measures with releasing more land, making planning more accessible and increasing productivity being the main solutions.
Mark will join a host of other industry experts in discussing their views on how offsite manufacturing and construction can assist in meeting the UK housing shortage.
This two-day conference and exhibition, taking place on the 04 and 05 April at the Inmarsat, London, will create a platform for housing clients and their professional advisers, contractors and project managers to network with industry experts and discuss the latest offsite construction solutions. It also provides a fantastic opportunity for members of the construction industry, who want to tap into this opportunity whilst it’s on an upward trajectory, to network with all the key members of the sector. The event format provides a dynamic and interactive learning experience for all visitors through presentations and the wide array of exhibitors.
