Profits power ahead at precast specialist FP McCann

Precast and civils specialist FP McCann enjoyed a surge in profits and turnover ahead of its deal to buy Laing O’Rourke’s factory at Uddingston in Scotland.

Latest accounts for 2016 filed at Companies House show revenue at FP McCann rose 35% to £226.9m from £168.7m previously as pre-tax profits leapt 55% to £19.1m from £12.3m.

FP McCann is currently finalising a deal to buy O’Rourke’s Bison factory in Uddingston to boost its presence across Scotland and the North of England.

The firm now has 15 precast divisions across the UK and employs more than 1,500 people.

FP McCann said: “Following the latest strategic acquisition of the manufacturing facility in Uddingston Glasgow, the company are unrivalled in terms of manufacturing capabilities and its ability to service the needs of its customers throughout the UK.

“The Uddingston Glasgow facility provides a platform to further develop the FP McCann range of products and services available to the North of England and Scottish markets.”
