Project Overview

HM Government has committed to building better, faster, and greener targeting net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. To support this commitment HM Government published the Construction Playbook in 2020 and the Transforming Infrastructure Performance Roadmap to 2030 in 2021. Both publications commit to the use of offsite construction and product platforms comprising of standardised and interoperable components and assemblies, the requirements for which will be part of a digital  component catalogue. Eekowall is a response to HM Government and the UK construction industry to do things better, faster, and greener by developing an offsite solution to traditional drylining that can also be a component of a kit of parts for a construction platform solution.

We have designed an offsite partition system using a Design for Manufacture and Assembly (P-DfMA) approach. Our ambition is to disrupt the traditional drylining market and make a significant impact on the UK and global economy. We have:

• Developed a better, faster, greener solution to traditional drylining

• Created a route to market for offsite partitions

• Developed a component that can form part of any product platform solution or digital catalogue

• Harnessed digital technology to develop a simple certified design that exceeds fire, acoustic and impact requirements

• Developed a system that is multi-functional and simple to manufacture and install

• De-risked a shrinking labour market by developed a system that requires less skilled labour

• Created local jobs in the vicinity of our manufacturing facility Integrity & Testing

• Fire: eekowall is certified as non-combustible. It achieves a range of 30 - 120 minutes fire resistance

• Acoustics: eekowall achieves a very high acoustic performance that creates a comfortable living/working environment. It achieves a range of 45 - 64 Rw dB sound  resistance

• Impact: eekowall achieves high impact resistance. It achieves duty ratings of medium, heavy or severe impact resistance Operational improvements

• Logistics: delivery reduced to a fixed number of panels on a just-i--time basis and easily distributed on site. • Lightweight: reduces live and dead loads and easily installed by hand

• H&S: significantly reduces the risks of manual handling, working at height and the generation of dust Market opportunity

• In the UK alone the drylining market is £3.9bn. Just 1% of this market is £39m. We aim to target at least 5-10% of this market and drive the use of our offsite solution

• Several early adopters from clients to principal contractors are approaching us to use it, including Quintain, Sisk, Lendlease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace Tech See  attached brochure for more detail
