Project Overview

As a social housing provider with significant levels of demand and committed to innovation in their construction Andium Homes engaged with Hadley Steel Framing to design and install a new social housing project in Jersey. Timber frame has previously been popular on the Island along with traditional build but both come with problems, especially the transporting of materials, so a cold rolled frame option was developed. As a socially conscious housing provider there was a drive to keep as much of the cost returned into the local community as possible so Hadley partnered with Jersey builders merchant, Normans, to set up fabrication on the island. The project was sited on a restricted plot which needed as fast a turn around as possible as well as the minimum affect on the local area. The HadleyFRAME solution was delivered on target to a 10 week program and was not affected by lock down restrictions or transport of materials by sea in rough weather. The resulting project was a new block of social housing apartments and Age Concern head office delivered to a high specification to a very fast program.
