Project Overview

Having worked in collaboration with Birmingham City Council and their new build housing division (BMHT) Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust, we worked to design, manufacture and deliver a two storey, two bedroom housing pod to be sited on a derelict piece of land at the side of a relatively new development in Hockley Birmingham.

We created a state of the art two storey pod that was completely factory built in two section, ground floor and first floor. Once manufactured the left the factory and was docked together in the yard outside the factory, and fully tested, lifting, twisting, docking and weatherproof. The product exceeded all expectations and was delivered by low level lorry from Coventry to Hockley in Birmingham and crane lowered into position on to a pre-prepared foundation.

Our pods have optional extras such as self-adhesive PV energy technology, water harvesting, ground force technology warranting the pod completely self-sufficient in energy and reaching an energy efficiency rating of A.
