Project Overview

Green Park Village Primary School is a two-form entry primary school with nursery, located in Berkeley Group's new residential development in Reading. Part-funded by Department for Education (DfE) to enable the scheme to be extended from a 1FEN to a 2FEN, it was built by off-site construction specialist, Reds10.

This project proves that the highest level of architectural integrity can be safeguarded and clients do not need to choose between design aesthetic and modular technology. During the tender process, Reds10 scored highest on both cost and quality.
The building is not a standard shape and includes specialist features, such as a double height volumetric hall, complex façades and external wall treatment. It is an excellent example of the versatility of off-site construction and the advancements in volumetric technology, alongside faster delivery, affordability and exceptional quality.

The school describes their new building as "stunning", and Christopher Adams, Commercial Director at Berkeley Group, agrees, saying that Reds10 provided "a building that is not only visually amazing, but was delivered on time and within budget and can be operated to the lowest cost and carbon footprint."
