Project Overview
White Road is an exemplary showcase of offsite, timber construction. The project delivers excellent homes, at an affordable price, that are aesthetically pleasing and highly sustainable. The use of an offsite timber solution results in a home that has 1/27th the embodied carbon of a traditional, masonry built house, as independently verified by BLP. Further, the ongoing, operational carbon will be roughly a 55% reduction against traditional construction. This means that the new homes will have a significantly reduced impact on the environment, both today and in the future. The homes are also excellent to live in, with 4m high, vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms and floor to ceiling windows. This creates an exceptional internal environment, hugely important with people spending more time in their houses. Delivered both on time and on budget, during the worst pandemic in 100 years, White Road has also demonstrated that offsite construction is an excellent way of delivering projects to the highest quality standards, in the toughest of environments.
